Organic Tea Collection
Pure tea from the ground up.
Pure tea from the ground up.
The land where our organic tea grows was once used by local families to grow vegetables, beans, and medicinal herbs for their own survival. We began by leasing this land from them, paying fair rent, and then teaching them how to plant and manage organic tea gardens – step by step, year by year.
Today, the same families still grow their traditional crops alongside the tea:
- Root vegetables like radish and potato
- Legumes that fix nitrogen naturally into the soil
- Medicinal plants that have been used for generations
- Herbs that naturally repel pests
This diversity is not accidental. It creates a rich, resilient ecosystem where pests are naturally controlled and the soil stays healthy. After a few years of patience and learning, the farmers now earn good income from their tea – a steady reward for their hard work.
We protect nature, and nature protects us.
We chose Zhongcha 108 (中茶108) for its exceptional qualities. Developed by the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, it is a mutagen of Longjing 43 – created by irradiating buds to induce beneficial mutations, then selectively breeding for superior traits.
What makes Zhongcha 108 ideal for organic farming:
- Earlier harvest – it can be picked 2–4 days before Longjing 43, capturing the highest value of early spring tea
- Strong disease resistance – especially resistant to anthracnose, a common problem in other varieties
- Better bud retention – the leaves stay tender longer, giving us a wider window to hand‑pick the finest one‑bud‑one‑leaf
- Higher amino acids – resulting in a fresher, sweeter, more umami liquor with less astringency
Our organic gardens are planted with this exceptional variety, giving us a head start on quality and resilience.
Our organic gardens are monitored by a real‑time data system that tracks soil moisture, temperature, and plant health. This isn’t just technology – it’s our way of ensuring that every leaf meets the highest standards.
・Soil pH – maintained at 4.8–6.5, the ideal range for nutrient uptake
・Moisture levels – carefully managed to avoid stress and disease
・Weather data – helping us predict harvest windows and protect the crop
Every step is recorded. Every batch can be traced. This is transparency you can taste.
